Spring Has Sprung - Page Starter Idea
Ever wonder how to put a digital page together? Or how to use your digital software and artwork to create a traditional scrapbook page? (Known as Hybrid or Mixed Media Scrapbooking) Use our Page Starters as a step by step guide to create your own!
Today's Page Starter features the Spring Odyssey art kit by Seatrout Scraps at FOREVER. This pretty spring layout is perfect for celebrating spring and
some of your beautiful memories, parties and special people in you life!

To create, simply open a 12x12 project in your ARTISAN Software and start with your background papers and add embellishments to create your own personalized background scrapbooking paper! Print at your local print shop that prints 12x12 pages or at the FOREVER Print Shop.
Then, open a 4x6 project to create your embellishments. These you can print off, cut up, add some pop-up tabs and photos and you're on your way to another finished page!
Cut your embellishment card and add to your album page - use pop up adhesive for added dimension to your layout
Add your photos and you're done!

In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lamb
March came in like a Lion… will it go out like a Lamb?
One of the many challenges we face as album makers is staying organized! With that in mind, your challenge this month is to gather all your scrapbooking supplies and get them organized so you’re always ready to crop!
Digi-Girls, you can participate too, it's time to get your content, projects and fonts organized! (please note, Digi-tips are for those using Artisan software from FOREVER - formally Storybook Creator from Creative Memories)
To participate; simply follow the step-by-step cards below. You will work at your own pace during the month and comment below to say you are taking the challenge – it’s that easy! And the great thing is, if you are not able to participate this month, the instruction cards will always be here for you when you are ready – or when you need to do it again!wink emoticon

Step 2: Sort
This is our starting point – 3 Piles: Paper, Stickers, and Embellishments!
Find a box or a bag to place in items you know you will not use; we'll collect these items at the April Retreat & May Crop for a swap table and donate the left overs to local children's organizations.

- Commercial Art Kits – the default location for all purchased kits
- Personal Art Kits – for kits you create
- Font Kits – for font kits as shapes.

Step 3: Paper
So, I’m a bit of a paper nut! I LOVE cutting a new sheet of paper! But then what do I do with that little piece that’s left over – I keep it of course, but am I really going to USE it? It’s time to re-look at those bits and 'purge' into the Donation Box!
For organizing - I use a paper carrier/desk top file folder to organize my full sheets and a separate one for my part sheets of cardstock.
For Power Palettes, I use the power pallet folders from CM (from years ago!) But you could easily use a zip lock bag. Iris box too.
I separated each bag into Palette, then added miscellaneous bags such as Spring/Summer, Fall/Winter, Sports, Christmas etc. (I will add the coordinating stickers later when I get to the sticker pile!)

What to do with your Digital Software - Support for MM & SBC ends January 31
Support ENDS for Storybook & Memory Manager and Panstoria January 31, 2016
So now, what to do about your digital software:
If you are running Storybook Creator - you will need to purchase Artisan 4 (for 32 bit) or Artisan 5 (for 64 bit) Click Here to find out which system your computer is operating
If you are running Artisan - you're good!
If you are running Memory Manager - you will need to purchase Historian
If you are running Historian - you're good!
Printing Projects - The Panstoria Print Shop is CLOSED as of January 31, you will need to create an account with FOREVER (please be sure to assign an advisor - like me!) and you will continue to be able to easily upload and print your projects at the FOREVER Print Shop
Pixels2Pages wrote an article on how easy it is to transfer from Memory Manager to Historian and Storybook to Artisan - it was written in 2013, but the process is still the same.

If you cannot upgrade to Historian/Artisan at this time... Remember: Support ENDS for Storybook & Memory Manager January 31, 2016
Your programs will still continue to work, however this would be a good time to remind you to get your backups done - MM vault, SB projects, content, activation codes. Always good to have everything in at LEAST 2 different places...
The software is no longer supported - meaning no further bug fixes, enhancements or compatibility fixes are being made by any company - CM, Panstoria or Forever and your SB software will no longer upload directly to the Forever print shop.
My personal suggestion, do this upgrade to Historian/Artisan now and not when your machine crashes, or when a Windows update interferes with how your MM/SBC works with your operating system.
It is an easy to upgrade, once you download the programs, you will be prompted, step by step how to install them and find your Memory Vaults in Historian or your Projects and Artwork in Artisan (Click Here for the Pixels2Pages article)
